Maintenance-free long life batteries
ELR-LPL series are high quality AGM batteries and are ideal for use in UPS and alarm and security equipment where there is demand for high reliability. AGM batteries are maintenance free, and are also usable where there are low operating temperatures and the batteries have a low self-discharge .
ELR-LPL batteries have a lifespan of up to 12 years according to Eurobate guidelines. AGM has very low internal resistance, is capable to deliver high currents on demand and offers a relatively long service life, even when deep cycled.
That the batteries are sealed avoids acid spillage and allows installation at various angles. Therefore also AGM batteries used in motorcycles, marine and vehicle. NASCAR and other auto racing leagues choose AGM products because they are vibration resistant and is sealed which avoids acid spillage in the event of accidents.
Transportation
The electrolyte is absorbed into a fiberglass mat making the battery spill-proof, that also keeps on acting as separator and allows the gas is minimal and they can then be sent also by air without having to take special considerations.
Storage
AGM batteries are less prone to sulfation that may damages the battery, and can be kept in stock considerably longer than standard acid batteries before a maintenance charge becomes necessary.
