EL250-2300-02 is designed to automatically switch the power supply from a primary source (e.g., the utility grid) to a backup or secondary source (e.g., a UPS net, a generator) in the event of a power outage or failure. It ensures uninterrupted power supply to critical loads, making it essential for applications where continuous power is crucial, such as access control systems, data centers, and industrial facilities.

The unit has 2 inputs for connecting the supply voltage, Priority Net and Alternate Net. If the priority net fails, the supply is automatically and immediately switched to the alternate source.

LED`s show the status of the supply voltage at the Priority Net and the Alternate Net as well as which net is active.

Operating principle

Two AC lines power the unit. If the primary AC source fails, the unit will automatically switch to the alternate power source. The EL250 provides direct distribution to 1 x 10A output in a system with two mains inputs, (or two UPS). If both connected mains are present and within certain limits, the EL250 will prioritize supplying power from the Priority Mains. The transfer time is in the range of 26-30ms. AC-1 and AC-2 which supplies the transfer switch can be configured in a variety of combinations:

AC-1 Supplied from UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and AC-2 from powerline

AC-1 and AC-2 supplied from two separate UPS

AC-1 and AC-2 supplied from two separate powerlines
